Mentaly chalenged children's ministry

mentaly chalenged children institution
Mentally challenged children’s ministry.
I was seeking the Lord a while back in a special way. I was praying about how else I can show Christ and where else I can go to reach the lost and to preach the gospel. I have been preaching to people on the streets and prayed for people in stores, supermarkets and other places. But that day as I was on my knees seeking the Lord in a special day I felt He wanted me to do something I never did before. He led me to read out of book of John, when Jesus went in to the Betheda where there was great number of sick people waiting for an angel to trouble water. Jesus went in there to set free a man who was there for 38 years. Jesus always went to those whom others overlooked. He always went to those people who world gave up on.
Close to where we live there is a place for boys only called “mentally challenged institution” It is state run orphanage for boys with mental disorders. There are 156 boys from 5-25 years old. Most of them have been locked up there for a lifetime.
Many have down syndrome, others have epilepsy and many other disorders. Great majority of them have parents.
I asked the Lord how I can reach these children with the gospel. Should we reach these kind of people?
If Jesus is the same: today, yesterday and forever. Than we can dare to believe that we can reach all kinds of people. The blood of Christ is too precious to leave out any people group.
The world today can duplicate almost everything the church does. The world can give millions for charity and feed the hungry help the poor. World will never duplicate the power of the early New Testament church. If we dare to believe, Jesus said that all things are possible.
So please pray with us that the gospel would reach the minds and hearts and bodies of the boys in that institution. What was shocking to find out is that out of so many churches in the city no male minister tried to reach these boys. All they see every day are female teachers. Only 3 ladies from a church have been ministering there for several years.
It is so obvious that these boys need a male figure that will be friends with them and share Christ there.
It is not the will of our heavenly Father that any of the least of these should parish.

Nikita's testimony

Nikita's testimony
Nikita’s (our son) Testimony
Jesus is the same: today, yesterday and forever.
We would like to share special testimony with all those who believe that God has not changed and never will. James says that In Him there is no shadow of change.
Some would have us to believe that what Jesus did while on earth was only temporary manifestations of God’s power just to prove that God sent Him to earth. These teachers have brought in the doctrine that after the last apostle passed away the power of God is no longer there.
But all those who would ever dare to believe that Jesus is the same like He was while on earth will prove different.
Our family was experiencing what I would call excessive faith test. In the middle of the unbearable circumstances our son Nikita (3 years old) got sick at the time when things seemed already impossible. He came down with very bad throat infection. He could not eat, or drink and he hardly slept few hours for two nights. As we saw how painful it was for him we called the doctor. She came next day in the afternoon and gave us a long list of medicine which was expensive. The doctor said that the boy would have to take these heavy antibiotics 7 days. We had to buy antibiotics for his throat. We realized that antibiotics were really bad for his young body.
Next day his situation was not getting any better, we had to force him to eat and drink. It felt too much for us since there were many other problems we were facing. And now this on top of them all which seemed to drain all our energy. We did pray for him but it seemed that we were powerless in this situation. In the evening of the second day, Nikita kept crying and had his lips swollen due to fever and being unable to swallow his saliva. It was around 6 p.m. when I put him on my laps and pressed him tightly and we cried out to Jesus. We rebuked the infection, and said that since Jesus lives in our home, He is the owner and He is the Lord in our home and we can’t do anything to help our son, we knew that He can. In my spirit we brought our son to the feet of Jesus. We did not give much thought to the prayer and we got busy doing other things. We noticed that within half an hour our son went to the kitchen and chugged the whole glass of juice. Then he grabbed a cookie and ate it. It was unbelievable since few hours earlier he could not eat even liquid sup. All of a sudden he began to run around place, playing with toys that he did not play with for two days. We looked at his lips which were swollen earlier and they got back to normal. His fever was gone. So it was one hour since we prayed. Next day he could eat everything and do everything he did before like nothing ever happened.
Praise Jesus for His power.

English club continues

English club

English club continues.
After summer break the ministry to the students that we have been doing for quite a while is resumed. As you can see God keeps stirring our hearts to keep our focus on the young generation which we believe will be touched by God’s move in these last days.
The latest world economy recession has greatly effected the young generation in this part of the world just like we are sure in other parts as well. Our English club students request our prayers for their parent’s job situation.
We continue meeting with our English club students slowly turning their attention to the life’s important questions. Some request prayer for their family member’s health situations.
Please join us in prayer for this young generation and for the power of God to be manifested in their lives as we teach them God’s word.
